Total does business in over 130 countries worldwide and implements a wide range of socio-economic programs to benefit the people living near its worksites.
In addition to these “good neighbour” initiatives, Total also pursues an active policy of investment with three main focuses: community support, cultural heritage and the environment.
The aim of Total’s community engagement initiatives is to make a contribution that goes beyond our role as an energy group.
Working With Communities
Listening to our stakeholders and participating with them in community activities are part of how we do business. Total is proud to contribute to the communities in which we operate; here are some stories that illustrate how we have been involved:
Community Engagement Offices
Total E&P Canada has a Community Engagement Office in Fort McMurray and Sherwood Park. These community offices are staffed full time by Total E&P Canada employees and their doors are always open for an impromptu meeting.
